This agreement was last revised on 31/03/2021

This Privacy Policy forms part of, and must be read in conjunction with, the Terms and Conditions of this website. LinguaProf takes your privacy seriously. Any information collected through use of the website or its services is subject to LinguaProf's privacy policy based on the GDPR. Please read this privacy policy carefully and thoroughly.

Scope

This Privacy Policy informs users about the type, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the responsible provider LinguaProf of this website (linguaprof.ie), hereinafter referred to as "offer". The legal basis for data protection can be found in the DSGVO.

Data Collections and Access Data

The provider (or his web space provider) collects data on every access to the offer (so-called server log files). The access data includes: Name of the website accessed, file, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider. The provider uses the log data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of the operation, security and optimisation of the offer. However, the provider reserves the right to check the log data retrospectively if there is a justified suspicion of unlawful use due to concrete indications.

Protection of your Data with SSL

SSL encryption is used for all transmissions of personal data to the website. Your data is encrypted directly on the line. Please note that despite our best efforts, LinguaProf cannot guarantee the absolute security of the Internet. The transmission of personal data to and from our website is at your own risk. Therefore, please make sure that you only access our services within a secure network.

Information from external sources

It is possible that LinguaProf automatically receives user information from external sources such as public databases, joint marketing partners, social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube) as well as other third parties. There is no intention to use this data. Always log out after using social media to prevent automated sharing with websites visited later.

Handling of Personal Data

Your contact details - full name, email address and telephone number - will only be shared with individual students or teachers if you are tutoring together. We use information about your difficulties/your motivation to teach to find suitable tutors/students. In the publication of your student profile, which is only visible to the tutor placed in your interest, your firstname, photo, university, course of study and information on difficulties/strengths are included. The following profile details of your teacher profile are publicly visible: first name, photo, university, course of study, details of your teaching motivation as well as your strengths and focal points.

Contacting us

When contacting the provider (for example via contact form or e-mail), the user's details are stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event that follow-up questions arise.

Usage and Integration of Third-Party services and content

It may happen that third-party content, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites, are integrated within this online offer. This always requires that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as 'third-party providers') are aware of the IP address of the user. Without the IP address, they could not send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore necessary for the presentation of this content. We endeavour to only use content whose respective providers only use the IP address to deliver the content. However, we have no influence if the third-party providers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. Insofar as we are aware of this, we inform the users about it.

Use of Cookies for Data Collection

Third-party cookies help us use Google Analytics to count, track and analyse visits to the website. This helps to understand how people use our website and what areas need improvement. These third-party cookies do not identify your personal data, but data about your behaviour.
